Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Review

Hello blogees,

Haircare review coming up! After watching QVC, and doing a little research, I decided to invest in the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer hair treatment. There is a possibility that I took it too far by ordering the 1litre bottle, costing £55 BUT when you actually calculate it, your saving alot of money buying the 1litre instead of 500mls for £47.52. It makes sense!

I had never tried this product before, so as I was typing in my paypal details on the qvc website I thought this better bloody work or it’s getting pied back to QCV. The idea is that you wet your hair and apply the product as a pre shampoo treatment. I wanted to wait a few weeks before I blogged about this, because my first impression of using this wasn’t too positive. But oh how things change…

First use: I left the product on my damp hair for 2 hours before shampoo / conditioning my hair. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but to be honest I didn’t notice a major difference in my hair. I was expecting the treatment to feel really conditioning as I was rinsing it out, but it just felt kinda sticky. My hair just seemed it’s normal minging self- high maintainance and frizzy.

Second use: After using the product for the second time, a few days later, I still felt the same as above. My hair was still tuggy after washing. HOWEVER, I did notice that my hair looked and felt stronger than it had previously.

Fast forward to 5 or 6 washes later and I’m hooked! Again, the treatment doesn’t feel conditioning when using it, and my hair is still tuggy when wet…But when my hair is dry it’s definitely stronger, with more body and shine! I’m not going to send it back to QVC anymore.

It definitely didn’t work instantly for me, it took a good few uses until I noticed a difference in my hair. I’m not really sure why that is, but I have read other blog posts about Elasticizer and it seems to be a common theme!

What I will say is, I would definitely advise you to buy the litre bottle. Especially if you have alot of hair, it’s very easy to use alot of this product. You get much more product for your money by splashing out a little on the big bad boy bottle. It doesn’t feel as conditioning as I expected it to feel whilst on my hair, but it does provide good results.

1 year merelleabella blog anniversary Victoria’s Secret GIVEAWAY :)

Wow! Merelleabella is now one year old :-)

I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for a year, when did that even happen? Infact when I first started this blog everyone thought it would just be a phase for me, like when I wanted to learn to play the keyboard again (that lasted 5 hours), or when I wanted to be a snowboarder (gave up after three hours at Glen Shee)…

I really enjoy writing my thoughts on beauty and fashion… Thank you all for reading!

I have alot that I need to work on for the future of my blog…When I look back at some of my posts I cringe majorly, but never the less I’m really proud of how far its come. I never ever in a million years thought I would end up setting up a twitter and facebook page for it, and end up with over 1000 followers!! There are soooo many blogs out there, and I’m really thankful for anyone who has taken their time to actually read what I say.

Anyway, this post is to show my appreciation for all of your support :) I am giving away some of my favourite products that I have blogged about in the past year: A Victoria’s Secret Body Mist set, EOS Mint lip balm and some Bath and Body Works hand gels. I use these products every day (not the ones I’m giving away obvs) and I love them, and I’m sure you will too.

Here are the prizes :)

Tigi Bed Head After Party Smoothing Cream Review

Tigi Bed Head After Party Smoothing Cream

Hellooo how are we doing?

I’ve been so busy recently, I’ve been in Croatia (which was very beautiful), and I’ve been so busy with work (I shouldn’t complain really) but I’m going to really try and make my posts more regular, it’s just going to take a little more planning on my behalf…Pull yourself together Merelle.

This post today is on Tigi Bed Head Smoothing cream. I have bought this a few times before, I really love it and thought I would share it with you for that reason. If anyone reading this suffers (I say suffers like it’s a bloody disease or something) from frizzy / fly away hair then you will love this product too.

I first bought this a few years ago, and I remember my mums reaction when she seen it in my room – she thought it was something else – cringe, cringe…Criiinge. Anyway, I corrected her on that one (I was dying inside, damn you dodgy packaging), it’s all good though because this is a really nice product to use on your hair.

After Party is a silky textured cream to use on dry hair to tame any fly aways or frizz. It feels really nice to use, non greasy and light, and it smells really good- sweet and fruity. This stuff has light reflecting particles in it, so it gives your hair a really nice sheen which is good if your hair looks kinda dull sometimes. I always apply a 10p sized amount to my dry hair after blowdrying (although I’m sure some people use it on damp hair) and it completely tames the mane without making your hair feel weighed down or greasy.

I would really recommend this to anyone after a smoothing cream, the packaging is fun, it smells really nice, applies really evenly and does what it says on the tin!

Has anyone else tried this? What are you all using to tame your manes?

You can get this from feel unique for £13.55Bedhead smoothing cream
