Day 5- 7lbs in 7 days juicing *update*
OH GAWD. I’m not going to lie, this is very challenging . I’m on day 5 on the 7lbs in 7days juicing detox and I’m struggling. For the past 5 days I have had 3-5 Juices per day…And I have to admit- I RELAPSED. On day two I had popcorn and I ate some spinach and cucumber…I RELAPSED
Bad times…
I have two more days to go…I know I’m bad for relapsing, I shouldn’t have eaten that popcorn but it was just so appealing and I was VERY happy eating it. I am finding it very hard to drink only juice, I really want to chew stuff…But what I’ve also missed is cooking! I love looking up recipes and cooking every day, so I noticed I had alot more time on my hands!
Anyway here I am on day 5, and whilst I have really missed food, there are definitely a lot of pros to this diet! Most importantly, I have noticed that I have changed the way I think about food. On day one I really craved a McDonalds, but now when I think of eating one it doesn’t seem as appealing as it used to. Infact, when I feel hungry my brain now thinks of chicken salad or vegetable soup! It’s quite weird. I have never craved salad in my life…So I’m really happy about this, this was exactly what I wanted from the juicing experience and it’s already working. I would still demolish any chocolate in sight- but to be honest I think I will be a chocolate lover for life. But I’ve also been craving raw carrots and cucumber, and nuts- which are dubbed as ‘healthy snacks’ so I’m happy about that too. I have also noticed my brain feels alot clearer and I feel more energised and ‘healthy’ than I did before. So I’m really happy about this
However, on the other hand… I’m still bloated
I don’t think I’ve lost any weight either…But anyway I will give a full update when I have finished the plan! 2 more days!
Mmm…Juice! Some of them actually taste nice and I will definitely be incorporating them into my diet daily

Hi Merelle,
Just thought I should point you towards a very interesting blogpost on juicing from an American nutritionist/fitness instructor Michelle Anderson. It has definitely opened my eyes to juicing and I think it makes a lot of sense. See what you think…

Hey! Thanks for the link, I had a good read…That’s really interesting actually…I can see why juicing is so controversial, I did really wonder if it was the best thing to do. I’m not sure if I will ever try a 7day juicing diet again, but I will def incorporate juicing into my diet on a more frequent basis. It is unbelievably hard to drink juice for 7 days lol…An interesting experience
I really think that long term, a nutritionally balanced diet and regular exercise is the key.
